Why switch regions?
SericaVPN has servers in 20+ regions around the world. You might want to switch regions for several reasons:
- Lower latency: Connecting to a server closer to your physical location usually gives you faster speeds
- Region-specific access: Some content or services are only available in certain countries (for example, US Netflix requires a US server)
- Bypassing local blocks: If one region’s route is being interfered with, another may work better
- Load balancing: Switching can help if a particular server is under heavy load
How to switch in Happ
- Open Happ
- On the main screen, tap or click the current server name (for example, “Singapore - Optimized”)
- A list of all available regions appears, sorted by ping time
- Tap or click the region you want to connect to
- Happ disconnects from the current server and reconnects to the new one automatically
You can also enable Auto Select mode in Settings, which continuously tests all servers and connects you to the fastest one without manual switching.
How to switch in v2RayTun
- Open v2RayTun
- On the main screen, tap or click any server in the list to select it
- Tap or click the Connect button
- The app will connect to the selected server
How to switch in v2rayN (Linux)
- Open v2rayN
- Click on a different server in the server list
- Right-click and choose Connect, or use the connect button in the toolbar
- The app will route your traffic through the new server
How to pick the best region
- Ping test: Happ and v2RayTun show latency next to each server. Lower numbers (measured in ms) mean faster response times. Anything under 100ms is good
- Geography rule: Generally, pick the server closest to your real location for the best speed
- Testing: If one region feels slow, try another. Network conditions change throughout the day
- Auto Select: Enable this in Happ for hands-free server selection
