Content Creator & Community Manager

What you’ll do

You are the voice of SericaVPN online. Your job is to show up consistently across our social channels, grow a real community, and make digital privacy feel relevant to people who don’t think they care yet. This is a freelance contract with full schedule autonomy. No standups, no set hours. You own your time; we own the results.

• Manage and grow SericaVPN’s presence on Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and TikTok
• Write and publish content regularly: threads, carousels, short posts, short-form videos
• Monitor comments, DMs, and mentions and respond in a way that builds real relationships, not just impressions
• Identify and reach out to small and mid-size creators (5k–100k followers) for collaboration and VPN promotion
• Design on-brand visuals in Canva, staying true to the SericaVPN design system
• Produce short-form video for TikTok and Reels: talking head, screen capture, or simple motion graphics, whatever the idea calls for
• Track weekly performance and flag what’s working and what isn’t

What we’re looking for

• Active and fluent on Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and TikTok. You understand the tone and culture of each platform and you post like a person, not a brand bot
• Strong written English, both for content and for direct communication with the team
• Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to speed up production without making the output feel like it came from a machine
• A good eye for visual consistency. You can follow a design system and keep content on-brand without being told twice
• Community instinct. You know how to reply in a way that starts a real conversation
• Self-managed and reliable. You set your own schedule and deliver without needing check-ins
• Experience with Canva or an equivalent design tool
• Basic video editing for short-form clips (CapCut, Premiere Rush, or similar)
• Bonus: any background in tech, privacy, or a product that requires educating its audience

No technical skills required. No engineering knowledge needed. If you can make someone stop scrolling and actually care, that’s the job.

What you’ll ship in the first 90 days

1. A refreshed content calendar covering Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and TikTok
2. At least 3 influencer conversations started, with at least one partnership confirmed
3. A consistent posting rhythm with visible engagement growth across all three platforms
4. A short-form video series (3+ pieces) introducing SericaVPN to a new audience

About this role

This is a freelance contract, not a full-time job or a 9-to-5. You set your own hours. There are no mandatory meetings, no daily check-ins, no micromanagement. As long as the content goes out, the community is active, and the numbers are moving, you have full autonomy.

We welcome candidates from anywhere in the world. Our team is mostly based in Asia (UTC+7 to UTC+12), so candidates in that window are a natural fit for async collaboration, but it is not a hard requirement. Our primary markets are Europe, the US, and Australia, so your content will be written for a Western audience. Fluent English, both written and spoken, is required.

This role works well for students, freelancers, or anyone with real hands-on social media experience, whether that’s your own accounts, a personal project, or previous client work. A portfolio or live social links matter far more than a job title on your resume.

Compensation
